internet options

hello all, 

we are seeking opinions of internet service,  currently we have hughes net that doesnt not work very well.  what about btc?  cable bahamaS?  IDIRECT?  please share your thoughts as all have pros and cons.  we will have to trench for btc and install new equipment.

Well....where to begin!  BTC and Cable are great...when they work. My Cable in Nassau was fast,stable and reliable. I've heard reliability and stability can be issues here in Eleuthera but when it works it appears to be fine.  I use BTC in Eleuthera...again. When its on its fine...I can stream movies and use Netflix etc.   My internet was fast and stable until about an hour before writing this, then about an hour ago it started dropping out...on,off,on,off...for the last hour....seems to have gotten fairly stable again.

So....I think Cable or BTC are both good choices and when up and stable are just fine. From what I have heard Hughes net has gotten pretty useless...so either BTC or Cable are probably better.

Thank you.  I see on Facebook that folks north of Governors have been without phone or internet for quite some time.  Yes, Hughes Net is a problem because it doesnt allow enough usage.
